Student Ambassador

Working with University Staff at events, interacting with students, prospective students & their parents and informing them about RGU's School of Computing or about computing in general.

Completing Graphic Design jobs for events within the University and working to deadlines.

June 2023–August 2023

3D Modeller

Creating 3D assets for a video game being developed in RGU using Blender, encompassing scenery, weapons and dinosaur characters. I also created all the models’ textures using Photoshop.

I worked closely with the other team member on the project which gave me a greater understanding of the design process. This developed my skills in managing polygons and using references to create models, as well as developing my overall understanding of Blender and the 3D modelling process.

Skills

Communication

- Worked as a Student Ambassador representing the university speaking to prospective students and their parents.

- Ran events as a committee member of the Computing Society, including the RGU Hack which had multiple sponsors and 100 attendees.

- Liaising with freelance clients to understand their needs and create a product accordingly. Adapting to the clients feedback throughout the process.

Design

- Placement as a 3D modeller allowed expansion of skills such as 3D modelling, UV mapping, Rigging and Texturing.

- Skilled at using the Adobe Suite to complete University projects and for freelance clients.

- Use of Figma to create various app prototypes within University projects.

- Worked one on one with clients as a freelance designer to meet their needs.

- Experience with dealing directly with customers in a hospitality setting.
